If your recipient cannot use their GiftYa, our support team is here to assist them!
GiftYa is not a traditional eGift. We offer several redemption options for your recipient to choose from.
We highly recommend the "Activate" method because it's scam-proof, fraudsters cannot steal your information, you’ll never lose the gift, and it eliminates criminal use.
Your recipient can easily connect their GiftYa to their personal debit card. After their card is connected, they can make a purchase with that card at the merchant and we will immediately issue a credit for the amount spent until the GiftYa is used in full. Unfortunately, the "activate" method is not available for Visa GiftYas.
We also offer other ways to use your gift such as an eGift, swapping for another merchant, transferring to bank account using Zelle®, or getting a Visa gift card mailed to you.
If your recipient is unable to use their GiftYa, here are some common cases why:
- They are outside the USA
- They don't have a cell phone
- They are not receiving the GiftYa messages - SMS Troubleshooting
- The Gift was forwarded to them from the buyer
- They did not receive an email
- They did not verify their account
- They are unsure of the redemption options
What should the recipient do?:
- Reattempt to log in after clicking on the gift email or Text / SMS
- If they are prompted. to log in they can go to their received gifts section https://www.giftya.com/secure/account/received
- Make a redemption selection
- Use your GiftYa
