If you have sent your GiftYa to the wrong phone number or email address, there is no need to worry!
Follow these steps to change your recipient's email or phone number from your account:
To resend your gift to a new recipient:
- Go to your Sent Gifts
- Find the gift. If it shows NOT OPENED, click it to edit. If it shows VIEW GIFTYA, it's already been claimed and can't be transferred.
- Click "Is the Mobile Number or Email Incorrect?"
- Enter the new recipient's phone number and resend.
Please note: You cannot send it to the same cell number you used to buy it. If the gift has already been claimed by the original recipient, it cannot be changed. Please have the recipient contact us so we can assist them dirtectly.
Follow these steps to change your recipient's email or phone number with our chat service:
- Click "Chat Now" on the bottom right-hand side of this screen.
- Type "Change GiftYa Recipient".
- When prompted, sign in to your account.
- Select the GiftYa order that needs updated.
- Provide your recipient's new information.
We highly suggest sending your gift via text rather than email. Though you can send the link to access a giftya to an email, a cell phone that can receive messages from our short code is required for your recipient to access their giftya.
Please note that a GiftYa cannot be self-gifted. If you are attempting to update your recipient's phone number to the same number that was used to purchase this gift, you will receive an error. You may also receive an error if you are entering an international phone number or a landline/mobile number that does not accept text messages.
