Can I Cancel My Order or Get a Refund?
We want every GiftYa experience to be smooth. Here's what to know about cancellations, refunds, and order issues.
Can I cancel my order?
Most GiftYa orders are processed immediately and cannot be canceled once placed.
If you need to correct a mistake, such as the wrong recipient, see below for "What if I sent the gift to the wrong person?" You may be able to fix it without canceling.
If you believe your situation warrants a cancellation, contact our support team immediately. The sooner you reach out, the better.
Can I get a refund on a gift card I purchased?
Most gift card purchases — physical and digital — are non-refundable.
If you believe your order may qualify for a refund, contact our support team. An agent will review the details with you and explain your options.
Refund details to know:
- Refunds are issued only to the original payment method used at checkout.
- Once we process your refund, your bank or financial institution typically takes 3–5 business days to return the funds to your account.
- Contact your bank directly for their specific processing timeline.
My gift card hasn't arrived, or there's a problem with it. What should I do?
Contact our support team, and we'll work to make it right.
To help us resolve your issue quickly, please have the following ready:
- The email address used at checkout
- Your order number (found in your confirmation email)
- A brief description of the problem (i.e., card not received, incorrect amount, code not working, or wrong recipient)
If the recipient isn't seeing the gift card: Ask them to check their junk or spam folder first. Delivery emails sometimes land there.
If the card doesn't work or the recipient is having trouble using it: Have the recipient contact us directly. That is the fastest path to a resolution.
What if I sent the gift to the wrong email address or phone number?
You may be able to fix this yourself:
- Log in to your GiftYa account at giftya.com.
- Go to Sent GiftYas.
- Click on the gift — you'll see options to update the recipient or resend the gift.
If you don't see those options or need additional help, contact our support team.
How long does it take for a digital gift card to be delivered?
Most GiftYas are delivered within minutes. Some digital gift cards may take up to 24 hours, depending on the brand and any verification checks required.
If the digital gift has not arrived after 24 hours, please contact support.
How do I reach support?
Live chat — Click the chat icon in the bottom-right corner of any page on giftya.com. The chat agent is there to save you time and can answer most questions instantly. If it can't resolve your issue, it will automatically create a support ticket for our customer care team to follow up on.
Sent GiftYas page — Log in at giftya.com and visit your Sent GiftYas page. Many delivery questions can be answered there in seconds without needing to contact support.
