Why does this happen?
GiftYa marks an order as "Delivered" once the notification is successfully dispatched from our system. However, the recipient may still not see it due to:
- The text being filtered as spam or blocked by their carrier
- The phone number entered at checkout having a typo
- The recipient's number being a landline or VoIP number rather than a cell phone
- A temporary delivery issue on the carrier's end

Option 1: Resend the notification (self-service)
You can resend the gift text yourself without contacting support:
- Log in to your GiftYa account at giftya.com/login
- Locate the order you want to resend
- Select the gift and choose Resend Notification
- The recipient will receive a new text to the phone number on file
| Note: If you have already resent multiple times and the recipient still is not getting it, move to Option 2 or 3 below. |
Option 2: Have the recipient claim the gift directly
Your recipient can bypass the text entirely and log in to GiftYa to access their gift:
- Recipient goes to giftya.com/login
- They enter the phone number the gift was sent to in order to receive a verification code
- Once logged in, they will see the gift under their received gifts and can activate it from there
Option 3: Update the recipient's phone number
ITo resend your gift to a new recipient:
- Go to your Sent Gifts
- Find the gift. If it shows NOT OPENED, click it to edit. If it shows VIEW GIFTYA, it's already been claimed and can't be transferred.
- Click "Is the Mobile Number or Email Incorrect?"
- Enter the new recipient's phone number and resend.
Please note: You cannot send it to the same cell number you used to buy it. If the gift has already been claimed by the original recipient, it cannot be changed. Please have the recipient contact us so we can assist them dirtectly.
Follow these steps:
- Click "Chat Now" on the bottom right-hand side of this screen.
- Type "Resend GiftYa Notifications"
- You will be required to sign in.
- Select the gift you are inquiring about and follow prompts to resend
- Your GiftYa will be resent to the recipient's phone number or email
