The eGift option lets you exchange your GiftYa for a traditional digital gift card — typically a gift card number, PIN, and/or QR code or barcode — issued directly by the merchant.
This option is available for national brand merchants only. It is not available for Visa GiftYas.
Important: This exchange is permanent and cannot be reversed. Once you generate an eGift, you cannot switch to a different redemption method.
How to generate your eGift
- Open the link in the text message or email you received.
- Log in at giftya.com using the mobile phone number the gift was sent to.
- Select the "Use as eGift" redemption option.
- Tap or click "Generate eGift."
- Your digital gift card will be ready within 24 hours. You can access it anytime through your GiftYa account.
How to view and use your eGift
Once your eGift is ready, log back into your GiftYa account to view your gift card number, PIN, and QR code or barcode (if applicable). Use these details to make a purchase just as you would with any gift card from that merchant.
Terms and conditions vary by merchant and will be displayed on the digital gift card.
What if my eGift hasn't arrived after 24 hours?
If it has been more than 24 hours and your eGift is not showing in your account, contact our support team via live chat at giftya.com or email support@giftya.com.
How to check your eGift balance
To check your remaining balance, visit the merchant's website directly and look for their gift card balance checker. Neither the GiftYa site nor the support team can check merchant gift card balances.

For any questions about your merchant digital gift card, contact the merchant's customer support team directly. This includes redemption issues, expired cards, or balance discrepancies.
GiftYa's support team cannot assist with merchant gift card usage once the exchange is complete.
